BRAG celebrates a decade!
The Bowen CTC was the location for a meeting and morning tea to celebrate BRAG's 10 year anniversary. A number of BRAG committee members were present, as well as council staff, Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Operations and Family and Community Services.

Funding for 2016/2017
November 2016
The Bowen CTC has received funding from some new sources this year. The Sally Foundation donated $2500 and Westpac donated $500. Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Operations donated $15000, and the Centre has enjoyed support from Orange City Council.
Good Onya Award again!
November 2016
Kimberley Pottinger from Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Operations has again been presented with a Good Onya award for her volunteer work at the Bowen CTC. The CTC also received a $250 donation from Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Operations.
Updating the centre
October 2016
A fresh coat of paint and new shelving for the centre was completed in October, from G & N Carr and G Tilston. Funding was supplied for the update by NSW Community Building Partnerships. Thank you to all involved
Tony McPaul farewelled

General Manager of Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Operations, Tony McPaul, was farewelled at a morning tea held by the CTC. The morning tea was held to thank him for the many years of support he has given to the CTC and to celebrate his retirement.

Funding for 2014 and 2015
The Bowen CTC has received funding from a number of charities and businesses for 2014 and 2015. Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Operations donated money to the CTC, as well as Australia Post, NSW Department of Family and Community Services, Southern Phone, Mercy Foundation, Sisters of Charity Foundation and the Sidney Myer Fund. Orange City Council has continued their support of the CTC and local IT business Need a Nerd has been incredibly generous with their time, by maintaining the computers of the centre and have also donated a working computer for the community to use.

Good Onya Award

Kimberley Pottinger from Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Operations was presented with a Good Onya award for her volunteer work at the Bowen CTC. Kimberley is one of 10 employees that volunteered at the CTC during 2013. The CTC also received a $250 donation from Newcrest Mining's Cadia Valley Operations.
